perfect location for anyone seeking luxury in the heart of Rome.
Hotel Ponte Sisto is located on a quiet street that in one
direction leads you across Ponte Sisto into the characteristic quarter of
Trastevere. In the other
direction, one can reach Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Navona within minutes.
I
have terrific memories of this hotel – memories that date back four
decades when it was a much simpler pensione.
I lived here with my family for six months and remember with
fondness the warm hospitality – and the patience – the staff showed
our large family. The
hospitality is as warm as ever; the creature comforts have multiplied over
the years. The hotel has been
renovated more than once and is now a 4-star hotel, which merits every one
of those stars. The rooms are
beautifully decorated, the bathrooms sumptuous.
The breakfast buffet is a great way to start one’s day and it is
always nice to come back “home” to Ponte Sisto – it was forty years
ago and still is today!
